Meet the founders
Rainbow Space was born while they were participating in the Creative Business Accelerator at the Roundhouse.
During that time, Thea and Shel realised how deeply they both missed feeling understood by their parents while growing up. As a queer trans fem person and a nonbinary mixed race person, Thea and Shel rarely saw role models or stories that reflected their identities or the families around them.
That absence became the reason they started Rainbow Space. Today they are building a platform where queer families, teens and children can find resources, inclusive stories, and a safe space where they feel seen, supported, and where they can belong.
MgA Thea Jacobra is an award-wining creative director, consultant and somatic practitioner whose work explores the intersections of art, queerness, and spirituality. Shel Hamilton McKenzie is a musician, producer, and songwriter known as Kensal, creating emotionally resonant work through sound and storytelling.

Our therapists

- HCPC Accredited Therapist
- Gender Intelligence Trained
I am a queer therapist and offer an affirming, inclusive space for LGBTQ+ clients. My training with the Gendered Intelligence network informs my work with gender identity and expression, including supporting trans and non-binary experiences.
At the heart of my work is a belief in being truly seen, heard and met in your experience. I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental space where we can explore whatever you’re going through, whether that’s something you can put into words or something that feels harder to express.
I work both online and in person in St Albans, Hertfordshire.

Louise is a queer qualified therapist working for NHS, while offering 1-on-1 online sessions in her free time for Rainbow Space.
